Hi Guys!

I am in India right now and yesterday I couldn’t sleep… Decided to photograph my watch, I really don’t have much gear with me but this is what I used:

1 headlamp
1 old Indian newspaper as light diffusor
1 pair of suit pants as backdrop
1 Nikon D700
1 Nikon PC-E 45mm F/2.8

With a long shutter speed I had time to move the headlamp around and simulate multiple light sources.

Cheers!

Hi,

I thought I would share some of the pictures we took during a photo shoot for Cultural Care Au Pair. First we considered cancelling the shoot due to the weather. We had snow falling all day and the weather was VERRY challenging. By the help of a lot of reflectors and a great team we managed to pull it off. Big thanks to all involved!

I brought all weather sensitive gear in my Lowepro Trekker 300 AW. It kept all gear dry and warm for several hours in the snow. Feels great to have a bag that I trust for our trip to Africa and for our attempt to reach the top of Kilimanjaro.

By the end of next week I’m heading to Bangalore, India. So make sure to check back soon for more pictures and stories.

Thanks for reading!

Hi,

Last Friday I went to Stockholm for a quick visit of family and friends. It is always so wonderful to be back home. Or is it really home? I don’t know but I would like to think that a part of me still belongs to Sweden and that it is my second home.

I also got the opportunity to visit Fotografiska which is a photography museum in Stockholm. They had a lot of interesting exhibitions. Plus awesome Swedish food, shrimp sandwich and “people beer” (folköl). It’s beer with less alcohol and less good taste, but it brings back great memories from the early days of drinking back in Sweden…

I really appreciated the Marcus Bleasdale exhibition Stolen Children. If you get the chances to see it, do it!

“Since 1999 renowned photojournalist Marcus Bleasdale has tracked the LRA in Central Africa and documented the army’s reign of terror over the local population. The LRA or Lord’s Resistance Army, is a violent militia group, which is active mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, and Southern Sudan. The exhibition features Bleasdale’s photographs of abandoned homes and communal spaces as well as vivid portraits of those who have suffered needlessly at the hands of the LRA. A video piece will also be on view, in which survivors of the LRA voice their personal stories of anguish and hope.”

As always I brought my camera and snapped a few pics. I tried a shift approach to capture a different way to look at the photographs(3rd to 5th photo below). Thanks for reading.

Check out the blog post for a real sweet tune.

Hi!
I am happy to announce Lowpro as a new partner of Stefan Hellberg Photography!
As you might know I travel quite a bit and I need a camera backpack that can handle everything from alpine to tropical climate. In June I and Malin will be traveling to Tanzania including safari, climbing and Zanzibar. We hope to make it to the top of Africa, Kilimanjaro at 5 895 meter, the highest free standing mountain in the world.
For this trip I have chosen to bring the Lowepro Pro Trekker 300 AW, a lightweight backpack with space for all the gear I need to bring. AW stands for All Weather Cover and will keep my gear dry while moving in rain.
Thanks for the support Lowepro.
I just came back from a trip to Mallorca, Spain. I have added one picture bellow. I hope to be able to add the rest this weekend so stay tuned.
Cheers,
Stefan
